USA – Still No Warming

[last update: 2019/08/30]

NOAA

Prior to the Obama administration, NOAA had a “Weather School” “Learning Lesson” web page with a CO2 experiment:

Description: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/GW_5GH_GreenhouseGas_files/image005.jpg

(Originally at: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/srh/jetstream/atmos/ll_gas.htm) [Red highlighting added by me]

Under Obama the offending paragraphs were removed from the page in 2009, and in 2015 the page was removed. It can still be viewed at: http://web.archive.org/web/20060129154229/http://www.srh.noaa.gov/srh/jetstream/atmos/ll_gas.htm, where the various versions from different years can be viewed.

Prior to Obama, the above NOAA web page said: “While carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has been increasing over the past 100 years, there is no evidence that it is causing an increase in global temperatures.” And “global temperature measurements of the Earth's lower atmosphere obtained from satellites revealed no definitive warming trend over the past two decades. In fact, the trend appeared to be a decrease in actual temperature.

In 2000 NASA said: “The year 1998 was the warmest year of recent decades in the United States, but in general, U.S. temperatures have not recovered even to the level of the 1930s.https://pubs.giss.nasa.gov/abs/ha03200f.html

The following figure is from that NASA publication:

In the above figure 1934 is the warmest year. But, whoops – NASA then applied some political adjustments to the data and voila – suddenly 1998 is warmer than 1934: https://pubs.giss.nasa.gov/abs/ha02300a.html

The same paper shows adjustments to make the past colder prior to 1965 and the recent decades much warmer:

Cooling the 1930s and warming the 1980s / 90s

Comparing the two Hansen papers:

Description: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/Hansen_GlobalTemp_files/image016.jpg

(NASA / Hansen continued to adjust the data over the years to reduce the unexplained 1930s warming and reduce the unexplained 1960s cooling. See: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/Hansen_GlobalTemp.htm)

In 1989 NOAA said there has been no significant warming in the US:

Description: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/US_NoWarming_files/image001.jpg

See: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/US_NoWarming.htm

So NOAA and NASA both used to say there was no significant warming. What about more recently?

NOAA has discontinued the use of the USHCN and now “The official CONUS temperature record is now based upon nClimDiv.https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/temp-and-precip/national-temperature-index/

The following plot is from this NOAA website. It shows monthly US average temperature anomalies for the previous 12 months from ClimDiv for the past 20 years - January 1998 through July 2019.

The same for maximum temperatures:

Can you spot the climate emergency?

United States

Individual station data (for anywhere in the world) can be plotted here: https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/stdata/

How many stations existed in 1930 that still exist in 2019? Answer: 722

The lack of historical data for the world means that the US is the only large area that has much long-term data. It also means that insufficient data exist to even measure “climate change” for most of the world.

In 1999 NASA’s Hansen said “the expectation has been that a middle-latitude land area would warm more than the global average in response to a global forcing such as greenhouse gases” (he was referring to the US as the “middle-latitude land area”).

In 1999: no significant warming, followed by the last 20 years of no significant warming, in the only area of the world with comprehensive data coverage.

Somehow CO2 just doesn’t do its warming thing in the USA.

Presidents of the USA

Obama"At a time of great fiscal challenges, this legislation is paid for by the polluters who currently emit the dangerous carbon emissions that contaminate the water we drink and pollute the air we breathe.

(Obama thinks CO2 pollutes drinking water – maybe he doesn’t know that sodas are “polluted” that way too, or that people buy carbonation devices to add it to drinks at home – such as Sodastream. He is also apparently ignorant of the fact that a non-poisonous, odorless gas that is CO2, does not harm breathing. And is life-giving to plants.)

Obama said “Few challenges facing America -- and the world – are more urgent than combating climate change” [http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/11/obama_addresses_5.html].

Obama, our savior: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/MissionAccomplished.htm

Obama clearly didn’t really care about CO2 emissions – he made a deal with China that they could continue to exponentially increase their CO2 emissions from his 2014 deal until 2030. That negates anything the USA can do to “limit warming”. He then agreed to the UN Paris agreement which also allowed China to continue as if CO2 didn’t matter.

Now Obama has shown again he didn’t really care about CO2 emissions – he has been considering buying an oceanfront home that Climate Central says will be under water within this century. See:

How did this America-hater become president?

Born in Hawaii to a Caucasian American mother and an African (not African American) father, his mother married an Indonesian and took Barry to Indonesia until age 10. David Korten is a full member of the Club of Rome who runs the progressive magazine “Yes” promoting the global warming scare. He published a book called “Agenda for a New Economy”. He states: “My presentation … made the case that the Wall Street financial crisis is at its core a spiritual crisis born of a violation of the biblical injunction against the worship of Mammon”. In the book launch, he referred to a Democracy Now interview with his wife, which featured “her relationship with Ann Soetoro, Barack Obama’s mother, when we lived in Indonesia”. [http://www.davidkorten.org/NewAgendaLaunch].

Fran Korten had lived in Indonesia, where Fran worked with Barack Obama’s mother Ann Soetoro at the Ford Foundation. https://www.democracynow.org/2009/1/26/exclusive_yes_magazines_fran_korten_on

The Club of Rome was involved in the original creation of the global warming hoax.

For more on the Club of Rome, see: http://appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/GlobalGovernance.htm

Their website has this on the main page:

Obama had other Club of Rome members involved in his government, including Michael Dorsey on the EPA’s National Advisory Committee.

Obama was raised in a non-religious household, but later after he moved from Indonesia to the USA he chose a church to attend: the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC), who’s web site said (2008): “We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black … We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. “

See: http://appinsys.com/obama/obama.htm

Born to a white mother, Obama rejected that half of himself and joined an America-hating church.

Trump: “Well, I think the climate change is just a very, very expensive form of tax. A lot of people are making a lot of money. I know much about climate change.” [http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/08/politics/trump-global-warming/index.html]

At least Trump had the sense to get out of the Paris climate agreement:

The reality is that withdrawing is in America's economic interest and won't matter much to the climate," Trump said. "We will be environmentally friendly, but we're not going to put our businesses out of work."

Trump argued "no responsible leader" would subject his country to a deal that imposed such strict regulations for so little benefit.

"The agreement is a massive redistribution of United States wealth to other countries," Trump said.
