Fake Government + Mainstream News on Florida

Florida Update

In 2010 I did a study of Florida’s “climate change” – see http://appinsys.com/globalwarming/RS_FloridaUSA.htm showing that there were no significant effects of climate change (in terms of temperature, sea level rise, precipitation, drought, etc.).

But of course, the government alarmists have since changed the data, and the alarmist mainstream media are promoting bogus sea level rise scares.

The Temperature Data

The official NOAA / NCDC data can be plotted here: https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cag/statewide/time-series/

When I looked at the latest data, it has been revised (to increase the warming trend - as is constantly the case with NOAA).

The following graphs show the 1985 to 2008 temperature data from NOAA plotted in 2010 (top) and plotted today (below). Insignificant warming (0.04 deg/decade) is now rendered more significant through adjustments to the historical data (now the “same” historical data shows 0.1 deg/decade).

Same data after several years of warming the past:

The following figure superimposes the new data on top of the old from the above two figures for the same 1985 – 2008 period. NOAA has made adjustments to the data that have increased the historical temperatures for the last 50 years to produce an artificial warming trend. The 2007, 2008 data are now 1 degree warmer in 2018 than they were in 2010.

Constant fakery of data is one of the main reasons why the whole global warming / climate change game is a sham.

The Sea Level Data

The MSM fake news Guardian says (26 June 2018):

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/jun/26/rising-seas-florida-climate-change-elizabeth-rush

The article states:

--------------------------

“According to Marco Rubio, the junior senator from Florida, rising sea levels are uncertain, their connection to human activity tenuous. And yet the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change expects roughly two feet of rise by century’s end. The United Nations predicts three feet. And the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration estimates an upper limit of six and a half feet.”

[So the IPCC says 2 feet, the UN says 3 feet (not sure why they are different since the IPCC is the UN climate division) and NOAA says 6.5 feet]

“But Hal says it doesn’t matter whether you live six feet above sea level or sixty-five, because he, like James Hansen, believes that all of these predictions are, to put it mildly, very, very low. “The rate of sea level rise is currently doubling every seven years, and if it were to continue in this manner, Ponzi scheme style, we would have 205 feet of sea level rise by 2095,” he says. “And while I don’t think we are going to get that much water by the end of the century, I do think we have to take seriously the possibility that we could have something like 15 feet by then.”  [Not sure why Hal says it doesn’t matter if you live at 65 feet if there is only 15 feet of sea level rise – but then logic is not a strong feature of the alarmists.]

“One of the few stories I remember from the Bible vividly depicts the natural and social world in crisis. It is the apocalyptic narrative par excellence – Noah’s flood. When I look it up again, however, I am surprised to find that it does not start with a rainstorm or an ark, but earlier, with unprecedented population growth and God’s scorn. It begins: “When human beings began to increase in number on the earth.” I read this line and think about the 6,000 inhabitants of south Florida turning into 6 million in 120 short years. “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become.”

---------------------------

So that’s what all the fakery boils down to – the wickedness of the human race. I guess the Guardian and Elizabeth Rush are followers of Paul Erlich – humans are EVIL.

NOAA provides the following sea level graphs for Florida [https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/sltrends.html]:

So over the last hundred years the sea level has risen about 10 inches.

But, but, Hal / The Guardian / Elizabeth Rush says: ““The rate of sea level rise is currently doubling every seven years, and if it were to continue in this manner, Ponzi scheme style, we would have 205 feet of sea level rise by 2095” (Not sure what the Ponzi scheme has to do with it, but it must be bad!)

Obviously, the rates shown above have NOT been doubling every seven years – a clear lie. The rates are virtually unchanged over the available data. At 3 mm / year it would take 20,000 years to increase 205 feet! Clearly Hal is a fake news boy, with a strong disconnect from reality.

The Conclusion

The government agencies are providing fake adjustments to the data.

The mainstream media are providing fake news.

This constant fakery revsion of history to increase the warming in the past is a good reason why NOAA should be reigned in. Recently the NYT reported that NOAA’s mission has changed – away from climate change.

Oh, never mind… The NYT article turned out to be more fake news:
